VSO-Ethiopia is looking for Youth Development Advisor for it’s open position.

Youth Development Strategic Advisor will work within “Directorate of Youth Mainstreaming and Volunteer Mobilization” under guidance of Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYs), Ethiopia to serve as a technical resource person for support in establishing and strengthening relevant structures/system, liaison, coordination of the relevant ministries in implementing youth development, equal opportunities, and ensuring accessibility of quality access to livelihood and youth empowerment.
Skills, qualifications and experience required
You have a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Social Sciences ,International Development, or the equivalent degree. A master’s degree preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the management and coordination of Youth Development, volunteer management, and inclusion
Experience in working with the government, NGOs, and civil society organizations
Experience in developing, designing, and implementing activities(including capacity building, strengthening activities); create training materials ; deliver and facilitate trainings;
Proven experiences in developing systems and procedures ;
Advisory, communication and networking skills experiences;
Coaching and mentoring skills;
Allowance and accommodation
All volunteers have an allowance paid in local currency. The allowance meets reasonable living expenses in country, but will not be enough to send money home.
VSO works with some of the poorest communities in the world which means accommodation varies and will be basic.
