Job description
The Training of Health Professional Component in the Sustainable Training and Education Programme strengthens in cooperation with the Ministries of Labour and Skills, Education and Health the pre- and in-service training in the health sector. It provides capacity building for vocational teachers, preceptors / in-company trainers and experts in Ethiopian health and training authorities and advises the political and implementing partners in the introduction of practice-oriented vocational training in nursing, biomedical technology and if need be in other areas.
Your tasks
- Advise the Ministries of Labour and Skills, Education and Health on the frame conditions of the pre- and in-service policy counseling in selected health professions, particularly nursing and biomedical technology.
- Specialist / technical consulting of the project partners in the development and introduction of demand-driven vocational pre- and in-service training course offerings in nursing and biomedical technology for job starters, professionally experienced, preceptors / in-company trainers and teachers in the health sector vocational schools or colleges
- Supporting the project partners in the digitalizsation of training and social inclusion of vulnerable groups
- Setting up and expanding networks and cooperation with international organisations and the private sector
- Supporting reporting, Monitoring and Evaluation and public relations
Preparing tender & bid documents and monitoring of contracts
Your profile
- Postgraduate degree in Public Health, Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Biomedical Engineering or vocational pedagogy / vocational education
- Several years of experience in the pre- and / or in-service training in the health sector, particularly as preceptor / in-company trainer in a health facility or as a trainer in a health sector vocational school or college, preferably gained abroad
- Extensive advisory experience in health systems in developing countries c8BH9Tx DmW5BH
- Profound analytical and conceptual skills
- Full professional proficiency in English; German language skills would be an advantage
