Rural Saving and Credit Cooperative Officer

Job Requirement

Job Summary

The saving and credit cooperative Officer is responsible for identifying the training need of cooperative and developing annual training calendars and implementation plans with consultation of the SACCOs.

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Provide technical supports to regions and woredas on the promotion of the establishment of RUSACCOs in rural kebeles
• Facilitate feasibility study and business plan preparation for the establishment of RUSACCOs Union and federation
• Facilitate assessment to identify problems and provide technical advises to tackle the problems
• Provide support on implementing appropriate financial product and financial literacy campaign
• Assist proper implementation of HABP to improve access for sustainable financial service provision
• Assist and Guide regions on planning and implementing training needs assessment
• Facilitate the development of annual training schedule and plan in consultation with regions.
• Assist on identify institutions resources ,individuals ,agencies  and consulting firms to offer training programs and products ,training expertise ,saving and cooperative knowledge and services consistent with planned
• Facilitate and offer training to regional and woreda level RUSACCOs promoters and Accountants
• Prepare reports on the implementation of training programs and disseminate to all stakeholder
• Provide technical support on standardizing the Operations of rural SACCOs
• Periodically Collect institutional ,Financial and Operation data and summarize them for dissemination to various stakeholders ;

Qualification

Education:BA/MA in Cooperatives management ,Cooperative marketing or Cooperative Accounting or other related fields.

Experience፡4 Years for MA and 6 years of Working experiences for BA holders

Technical and Other Skills

• Strong interpersonal and Communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range f stakeholders ;
• Microfinance ,Banking or other financial sector experience preferred ;
• Proficiency in Computer applications; Windows and basic MS packages

Employement Duration:One  Year contract with possibility for extension
