Marketing and Innovation Finance Manager

Purpose of Role:

Act as the Finance Partner for the Marketing and Innovations function.

Provide on-going rigor to the Marketing and Innovations decision making process through business partnership and intelligent application of established finance tools and techniques.

Support the business to understand key commercial insights and implications behind each innovation/marketing spend for effective decision making.

Top Accountability

Ensure marketing related decision is in favor of expansion of operating margin expansion/contribution after advertising and promotions.

Responsible for monthly tracking of all marketing spend and review of monthly profit and loss statement with Brand Mangers/Marketing Team.

Act as a key partner to the marketing and innovation team to support with pre & post evaluation of activities.

Deliver appropriate financial analysis on a project by project basis.

Responsible for documenting all review meetings and budget communication to the marketing team to adhere to control requirements.

Generate value added reports to understand efficiency and effectiveness of marketing spend.

Proactively manage planning, opportunities and risks, and tracking of spend.

Improve finance capability throughout the marketing team, in order to improve the day to day decisions and financial impact.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

BA in finance or accounting Experience gained through a professional background commercial finance management with a minimum of three years of experience

Strong Analytic skills  , communication, presentation and influencing skills.

Experience of working in ‘business partnering’ role with colleagues in different functions and locations.

Strong project management focus and ability to proactively manage own workload and the rest of the team

Confident on MS office packages (advanced Excel).

Track record of consistent delivery and service excellence.

Ability to constructively challenge business practice.

Knowledge of business process design.

Ability to priorities when faced with conflicting demands.

Proven ability to assist projects and facilitate business change

Ability to take commercial insights and translate into the Organisation, People & Compliance agenda including good customer service.

Proven ability to facilitate, persuade, influence and build credibility with all levels and all functions.
