Driver – SECCCI (Dollo Ado)

Regional Service Center for Africa of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking to hire a the Driver who will provide reliable and safe driving services to UNDP staff and other UNDP Implementing partners, and if so required to other UN officials and visitors ensuring highest standards of discretion, integrity and responsibility. The Driver must have excellent knowledge of protocol and security issues and a client-oriented approach, courtesy, tact and ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
Contract type: Service Contract (SB2) – * Service Contract is a non-staff contractual modality.

Duration: 11 months with a possibility of extension.
Qualification and experience: Secondary Education, driver’s license, and knowledge of driving rules and regulations and skills in minor vehicle repair.

Interested applicants must four years’ work experience as a field driver in the region and area where this position is based; safe driving record and particular operational/driving experience. Knowledge of English and at least one of the local languages (Somali or Oromiffa) language is a requirement.
