Action For Development, (AFD) an Ethiopian Residents Charity, has the following vacancies for its emergency operations in the Gudji zone:
Position: — Public Health Promoter
Job Summary -The Public Health Promoter will , among other things, be responsible for overseeing processes of community awareness raising on health &sanitation, Conducting training for the community , staff & LDs , production of IEC materials, Strengthening of WASH systems & structure, compiling data & conducting studies in his /her areas of assignment.
Qualification – BSc in Environmental Health, Nursing, Public Health or related fields.
Experience – Minimum of four years relevant work experience
Position: -Emergency Officer- Cash Transfer
Job summary: – In his /her area of assignment, the incumbent will be engaged in the facilitation of the implementation of the IDP response project the organization implements in the Gudji zone. He/she will work towards building resilient pastoral and agro pastoral livelihoods through, among other things, operating cash transfer schemes.
Qualification – BSc or BA in Social Science , DRM, Business , Rural Development . or related fields:
Experience – A minimum of 2years in emergency response, recovery ,& livelihoods & resilience building, initiatives, involving grassroots communities.
Position: -Project Accountant
Job summary: – He /she is responsible for managing the day—to-day activities of financial routines, coding, posting, analyzing , and summarizing financial data, and preparation of accurate financial reports, and monthly bank/petty cash/coupon reconciliation of the project office accounts . She/he compiles, prepares and analyses budget, financial reports and ensures compliance with AFD’s and other relevant policies and procedures, beside monitoring and verifying the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions. He/she also will look after the material management and General service functions of the project office.
Qualification: BA /Diploma in Accounting or related fields.
Experience – 4/6 Years , NGO or project financial management experience, with good skills in the use of computers and computerized accounting software , is advantageous.

Salary : As per organization’s scale
