Overall Responsibilities
The Clinical Care Mentor’s key responsibility is to lead a mentorship team’s provision of on-site technical assistance to supported health centers. Key responsibilities include direct mentorship for ART, ANC/PMTCT/MNCH and TB/HIV; assessment of drug supply and lab services; oversight of an M&E mentor’s mentorship of strategic information, data review for quality assurance, and VCT/PITC and documentation and review with the HC’s head. Other duties include mentoring RHB and woreda health office mentors and participation in catchment areas meetings and other information sharing/supervisory initiatives.
LOCATION: Amhara, Bahir Dar
Qualifications
- BSc in public health, Health officer or BSc in nursing
- Three or more years of experience for in TB and HIV prevention care, support and treatment.
- Experience working in a health center or out-patient environment desirable
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with subordinates associates, other mentors and managers and external bodies.
- Willingness to locate at zonal bases in the project regions of Amhara with travel to health centers approximately 75% of the time.
- Experience in quality improvement, monitoring and evaluation, and HMIS desirable
- Amharic fluency and English competency essential
- Local language proficiency desirable
